Storage containers
Storage containers are lockable, weatherproof steel space with a plywood floor and double doors at one end. Whether tools, machinery, files or seasonal stock – they reliably protect against weather and theft and come in sizes from an 8 ft box up to a 40 ft container. What to look out for
- For plain storage, used wind and watertight is almost always the economically right choice.
- Place it on point footings or timber bearers so air can circulate under the floor.
- Ventilate against condensation and use a dehumidifier or anti-condensation coating for sensitive goods.

Does a storage container rust?
Corten steel is slow to corrode but not rust-free. If damaged paint is touched up and water never stands, it will last for decades.
How do I prevent condensation in a storage container?
Through ventilation, clearance from the ground, storing only dry goods and, where needed, a dehumidifier or anti-condensation coating under the roof.
